Socialnaut captures hundreds of millions of posts from Twitter, news, blogs, forums, YouTube and Facebook in real time every month. Crucially, it also enriches this data to provide you with powerful insights you can use in your business – everything from product innovation to supply chain decision-making. It’s available as part of Nest, or licensed as a standalone cloud application.
The goal of the project was to create an application that allows users to analyze the topic of any text and quickly understand emerging trends in large data sets, exploring hashtags, links and topics of discussion. Socialnaut was created to automatically group conversations and interactions into topical hierarchies, with clear connections between those topics through a visual presentation using interactive charts.
My involvement in this project was more in the UI and layout development using HTML and cascading style sheet, I was involved in all aspects of the application from the very beginning, I helped structuring the application using Angular 1.5 and Bootstrap, before we (the project team) converted the layout to Angular Material. I was part of the brainstorming process, attended meetings with the stakeholders to define the requirements, I worked with project managers, frontend and backend developers to create wireframes and mockups, implement the design and bug fixing.
